Jindal Aluminium Limited (JAL), established in 1968, is the leading manufacturer of Aluminium Extruded Profiles in India, located in the serene outskirts of Bangalore city. JAL is the only aluminium company in India having 7 aluminium extrusion presses under one roof and achieving highest production in the country. Jindal extrusion profiles are available in a wide range upto 460mm in width. What started as a humble beginning with one 1500 ton American Press, gradually expanded to a current collection of world renowned makes of seven extrusion presses, each with a different capacity, PLC controls and modern handling systems. JAL has added its Seventh most modern imported extrusion press of 1650T. JAL commands approximately 25% market share in India and is exporting its products to more than 27 countries across the globe. JAL offers its customers the very best in aluminium extruded profiles, very intricate and sophisticated sections. With its well equipped state of the art Tool Shop having latest CNC, EDM, Wirecut machines, JAL develops all kinds of intricate dies with optimum accuracy for all kinds of aluminium profiles/ extrusions within the shortest possible time. JAL offers wide range of extruded profiles in different aluminium alloys. The most popular alloys made by JAL are AA6063, 6061, 6351, 6005, 6082 and JAL also has the capacity to develop & supply extrusions in most difficult alloys like 2014, 2024, 3003, 3004, 5086, 6262, 7075, 7079 etc. The profiles can be supplied in annealed, heat treated & strain indenced conditions as per requirement of customers. JAL’s assortment of over 8000 different aluminium profiles cater to the high quality aluminium extrusion requirements in various sectors like Building, Agriculture, Railway and Road Transport, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics, Defence, Aerospace, Solar etc. Jindal Aluminium has taken a step forward by diversifying into aluminium rolled products upto 5.5 micron thick foils. This world class facility is being setup at Dabaspet, Bangalore, 25 kms from the existing extrusion plant. JAL has budgeted Rs 800 crore capital investment in the first phase with a capacity of 1800 TPM for foil and 1500 TPM for coiled sheet. The plant is expected to be operational by May 2012.

Wind Energy With limited availability of conventional sources of energy, Karnataka is inevitably facing acute shortage of power for over 30 years. JAL came forward to face the situation with an alternate non-conventional renewable energy source – wind energy. Wind power is environment friendly and a green technology. JAL's 25.6 MW wind power projects are situated at Chitradurga District, 200 km from Bengaluru and 25.2 MW wind power project in Anantapur Dist. of Andhra Pradesh. Thus, JAL has now commissioned total 50.8 MW capacity wind power projects. JAL is not only self sufficient in power but also contributes, as the excess production is being channelised to the respective State Grids.Solar PowerThe Company has also set up 10 MW solar power project in Chitradurga District, Karnataka and 20 MW solar power project in Davangere District. Thus, the company has set up 30 MW solar power projects. It further intends to set up 50 MW solar power projects in Karnataka/Andhra Pradesh in coming years.Thus, so far the company has installed and commissioned 80.04 MW renewable energy projects.
